Harvia SW Electric Sauna Heater

This is our manually controlled option with two illuminated dials mounted directly on the heater. One sets the temperature, one sets the timer. It runs for your chosen session length then shuts itself off automatically. No apps, no WiFi, no complexity. It holds 20kg of stones, reaches full temperature in under 40 minutes, and hits a maximum temperature of 85°C. If you want reliable performance without any extra technology, this is your heater.

Harvia SWE with Control Panel & WiFi

Identical in size and shape to the Wall, but fundamentally different. Rather than dials on the unit itself, the SW-90E is controlled through the Harvia CX170 control panel mounted on your sauna wall inside or outside. This gives you precise temperature control, WiFi operation from your phone, automatic scheduling, and lighting control. Far greater functionality and far greater performance – this heater reaches a maximum temperature of 110°C, giving you significantly more range as your heat tolerance builds.

Huum Drop with Control Panel & WiFi

The HUUM Drop features similar control panel and WiFi connectivity as the Wall models, but delivers a serious step up in performance. The drop holds 60kg of stones. That's three times the thermal mass of the Wall models, meaning superior heat retention, more powerful löyly, and consistent temperature even after the heater cycles off. More stones also protect the heating elements from direct water contact, extending lifespan. This heater also features premium aesthetics and is designed to be a statement piece in your sauna.

Important Note: Upgrading your heater at a later date can be challenging and costly. The process involves manually removing the existing unit, rewiring for a new heater with the help of an electrician, and incurring additional expenses.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Question

01 Can I upgrade my heater after purchase?

Yes, but it's costly. If you start with the base Harvia Wall SW and later want to upgrade, you can't simply add a control panel as the SW doesn't support one. You'd need to replace the entire heater with the Harvia Wall SWE and then install the control panel. Choose the right heater from the start and save yourself the hassle and expense.

02 Do I need an electrician to install the heater?

Yes, your heater needs to be hardwired directly to your home's switchboard by a licensed electrician. It cannot simply be plugged in. The electrician will run a dedicated cable straight from your switchboard to the heater, similar to how an oven or cooktop is wired in. We have a network of electricians across Australia and can recommend one in your local area if needed.

03 Which sauna heater is right for me?

If you prefer a simple, reliable, and cost-effective option, the Harvia SW is a strong choice.

If you want modern convenience with control panel and smartphone control, with a maximum temeprature of 110 degrees the Harvia SW E with WiFi offers added flexibility.

For those seeking maximum heat, higher humidity, and premium design, the Huum Drop delivers the most luxurious experience.

04 What temperature can these heaters reach?

Harvia SW: up to 85°C

Harvia SW E: up to 110°C

Huum Drop: up to 110°C

05 How long does it take to heat up?

To reach 85°C: 45–45 minutes.

To reach 110°C: 60–70 minutes.

This will be affected by Ambient temperature.

06 Single Phase or Three Phase?

All heaters can be run on either single phase (230V) or three phase (400V)

07 What size heater do I need for my sauna?

You don't need to figure this out yourself. Each Nova sauna comes with a heater specifically matched to its size, the only difference between models is the power output (e.g. 4.5kW vs 6kW vs 9kW).
